It started with one silver coin
When I was eight, my grandfather pressed a silver coin into my hand and closed my fingers around it. “Hold onto this,” he said. “It'll remind you where you came from.” I didn't understand the weight of it then — not the metal, the meaning. But I never forgot how it felt: cool, heavy, real. Something you could keep.
Years later, I went looking for that feeling again. Instead I found two extremes. On one side, bullion dealers speaking a language of spot prices and premiums. On the other, cheap online stores passing off plated novelties as “pure silver investments,” hoping you wouldn't notice. Both felt wrong. Neither captured what my grandfather gave me — a beautiful piece of American heritage you could hold, display, and pass down.
So we built Old Glory Co.
